Soundscapes describing Nordic landscapes, noise and noise enriched with harmonies, amplified quadraphonically. Sound as a living being and the forms it can take are explored in PULSE#11: harmonic noise. Two German premieres by Icelandic composers Anna Thorvaldsdottir and Bara Gislasdottir take center stage. Both draw strong inspiration from nature: we hear ecosystems of sounds in which materials continuously grow in and out of each other, taking dives into the depths of amplified string quartet sound. This is accompanied by an opener by Caroline Shaw and Clouded Yellow by Michael Gordon, dedicated to a butterfly. All of this takes place in a spatial installation by Hassan Sheidaei.
