The exhibition "Radical Chance" looks back on the exhibition series "New Tendencies (Nove Tendencjie)", which took place from 1961 to 1973 in the former Yugoslavian city of Zagreb. The ZERO artists also took part in this international network, which set itself the task of combining art, technology and the first experiments in computer art.
Amsterdam-based artist Joppe Venema draws a parallel to the current state of artificial intelligence with a new site-specific installation. Venema's work is accompanied by video installations as well as selected archive material and works from the ZERO foundation collection.
"Radical Chance" is the final project of guest curator Annosh Urbanke's residency at the ZERO foundation, financed by the Mondriaan Fund.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Friends of the ZERO foundation, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Mondriaan Fund.
