RAINALD GREBE & THE BAND OF RECONCILIATION
The Beatles are a legend because they split up young after a short flight of fancy, the Stones because they continue to act like the copy of their copy, the BläckFööss and the Höhner have exchanged all their founding members for younger ones and the name keeps on swaying, And we, the Kapelle der Versöhnung, how do we want to grow old? With dignity, without dignity, in an oxygen tent, cut, in one piece? How do we see ourselves? As the Ärzte, the Toten Hosen, the Flippers? What is a band? A life partnership, a limited company, a magic cube, a bath additive, alcohol poisoning, a cup of tea?
Questions we asked ourselves. And then it was business as usual: the big questions had to be postponed, because the premiere is in four weeks' time, so first rehearse, first cisse and fissen, first do.
The new songs were slumbering in the depths of my working memory, I just had to upload them and throw them into the rehearsal room, and so this evening THE BAND was born and will continue to grow
A proliferation, a walk around the 7 corners, a colorful bouquet of Dada and rocknroll: Curtain up. Controls up. Lights on: the band of reconciliation is DIE BAND.
