RECONNECT

RECONNECT is the first production by the Seniorcompany of the Leipziger Tanztheater. Under the artistic direction of Ana Ronzani, the Senior Company of the Leipziger Tanztheater, founded in April 2022, created a dance theater piece that deals with the themes of closeness to nature and the climate crisis. The 25 dancers, aged between 50 and 85, share a concern for future generations in a world where the ecological balance has been disturbed. The piece is an emotional and artistic look at our lack of connection to nature and the link between the climate crisis and society. RECONNECT shows the return to nature and to a common togetherness as a possible way out of the climate crisis. The music for RECONNECT was composed especially for the piece by Fritz Bayer and will be played live on stage during the performance to create an intimate connection between the dance and the music.
