In the organizer's words:

Repair Café means that you repair your defective electronic devices yourself under expert guidance. We have been doing this for a long time and have some experience. Getting hands-on and learning is a valuable experience.

What can I bring in?

So far, we have almost always been able to help with the following appliances:

• Kitchen appliances (blender, mixer, coffee grinder, ...)
• sewing machines
• oral irrigators
• zippers
• Battery packs (possibly with spare parts procurement)
• Laptops (but unfortunately often very expensive)

With a few exceptions, we were unfortunately only able to do very little with the following devices:

• Printers/copiers
• cell phones
• Video recorders
• DVD/CD players
• LCD (mostly missing components)
• Digital cameras
• Vacuum cleaner (cable winder, a lot of work)
• Steam ironing station (Philips)

Defective power supply unit?

If, on the other hand, the appliance no longer functions at all, there is a good chance that only the power supply unit or the fuse is faulty. In this case, the repair and the test to see whether it is possible is comparatively simple. In particular, very similar faults always occur here.

How does a Repair Café work?

You fill out a registration form. This is followed by a brief discussion and an assessment of the time schedule, depending on whether a spare part still needs to be obtained or a sequence of the various repairs needs to be coordinated. Repairs can take place beyond the Repair Café time as part of the open workshop. We accept no liability for any damage caused. Plan a little time for this. We provide coffee and cake to create a relaxed atmosphere.
