Robotics, dance and deception | For adults
In a world of genetic engineering, AI and robotics, the topic of doppelgangers is not far away. Some contemporaries are already known to be on the move in duplicate. Ideas collide: On the one hand, the battle for uniqueness is raging, but at the same time there is the dream of making the world a multiplied delight. In "REPLIK:A", a person moves into an eerie valley populated by dolls, avatars and a robotic humanoid, all doppelgangers of the courageous protagonist. Disturbed and fascinated at the same time, he dares to take a look behind the mirror, at the back of himself, in order to learn to fear the sight of his shadow, his other self, his dark twin. The dancer Ludger Lamers encounters himself not only in an android, but also in the movements of a curtain, in a three-dimensional computer graphic or a jester figure consisting only of a head and a stick.
