RheinPop - unplugged und frisch gezapft // Mit Nico Mono, Elias Tebroke und Cozy Pullover im Joode Lade

"RheinPop - unplugged and freshly tapped" is the name of the new series of events launched by Nico Mono. Together with his guests Elias Tebroke and Cozy Pullover, the singer/songwriter will take to the stage at Joode Lade in Cologne on Thursday, October 10, to present original and acoustically performed music from Cologne and the surrounding area.

A song that always moves and carries people away, that makes them dance, laugh and occasionally even cry - these are the attributes of a good pop song. But while pop music is often associated with superficial, commercial and unoriginal clichés, it remains an art form that can bring out the best of this genre: infectiously sing-alongable, approachable, diverse, emotional and mixable with other musical genres such as indie, blues, folk, singer/songwriter, country and more.

RheinPop offers a platform for small bands and solo artists who identify with the versatility and appeal of popular music. The evening will be hosted by Ari Reith, who will provide the best entertainment with his humorous charm. The event is supported by Joode Lade, one of the "most popular" Kölsch pubs in the cathedral city, and by Gaffel Kölsch. Both have long specialized in enriching Cologne's cultural life.

Nico Mono // Indie, Pop
If you look at Nico Mono's discography, you'll find one catchy tune after another. The musician is at home in German-language singer-songwriter music. However, his songs take him out into the world. The singer already shared his passion for travel with his listeners in 2015 with his nationally successful summer hit "Amsterdam". His popular music with an indie-pop character has already earned Nico Mono several television and radio appearances over the course of his career. Sometimes lively, sometimes gentle beats, acoustic guitar sounds and captivating vocals come together in the songs of the Bonn native.

Elias Tebroke // Pop, Soul and Raggae
Elias Tebroke makes pop music with strong influences from soul and reggae. With his acoustic guitar and a loop station, the native Rhinelander brings creative and multi-layered arrangements to the stage. His deep, unmistakable voice is particularly striking and gives his songs a special touch.
Following the release of his debut single "Fresh like you", he followed up this summer with "Summer Feeling", the title song of the Bayreuth festival of the same name. Further projects are already in the works, so we can look forward to new music.

Cozy Pullover // Pop, Folk
Behind Cozy Pullover is the indie-folk singer/songwriter Gerrit Witterhold. With a band or solo, he tries to establish a personal connection with his listeners through his music. The aim is for his songs to address common experiences in life and show that we are not alone in our journeys through life. He is currently working on his first two EPs, 4 singles of which can already be heard on the usual platforms.
