Ritournelle is back for a night of intelligent dance music in the literal sense of the word! Blurring borders between club culture and experimentalism and marrying hedonism with leftfield exploration, Ritournelle unites the ravers, nerds, and all those with a taste for sensation! Powered by Blitz Club's peerless acoustic design and sound system, Ritournelle celebrates its 12th year and promises stunning live performances and ravishing DJ sets.
From esteemed and reunited pioneers who have shaped club culture to young and adventurous talents rewriting electronic dance music and its culture, the party merges the past with the present. The soundtrack to this club-oriented Ritournelle edition comes from soaring upstarts to revered veterans.
Such as: the British Murder Boys, the seminal live-duo formed by the two UK-paragons Surgeon and Regis. They're back and finally released their debut album this year, long after their last split, full of >. industrial dub techno assault < madness, to quote The Quietus. Or Aunty Rayzor, the young Nigerian sonic trailblazer with her euphoric blend of Afrobeat, R&B, hip-hop, pop, grime, and experimental sounds. Also on the lineup: Helena Hauff, Hamburg's queen of black magic dance music, who will be spinning an electrifying mix of Techno, Acid, and Electro-all on vinyl, of course. Kicking off the night, Jonas Friedlich will set the mood with his dizzying and beguiling take on breaky, mashed up funk. Merging the eclectic mix of performers and music is the idiosyncratic Berlin duo Modeselektor, who have been championing crossover sounds and the wide open playing field of electronic dance music for decades, uniting techno heads & indie kids, ravers & critics on the dancefloor with a singular and cosmopolitan take on dance music.
Revel in the anticipation of new experiences and newfound favorites to be discovered! Mark your calendar for Friday, the 18th of October, and usher in a night of sonic spectacle beyond the borders of what dance music can express.

Ritournelle returns. A night full of intelligent dance music, in which the boundaries between hedonism and avant-garde, between club culture and experimentation are torn down: Open-minded ravers, introverted nerds and aficionados of offbeat tastes have been coming together on the Ritournelle dancefloor for 12 years. 12 years of Ritournelle will be celebrated in the Blitz Club with its unique sound system, accompanied by transgressive live performances and mind-expanding DJ sets. And to mark this anniversary, a program has been created that not only connects the present with its pioneers, but also dares to take a look into the future:
Examples of this? The British Murder Boys, for example. The historic duo of UK veterans Surgeon and Regis returned to the scene in 2024 after a long break with their debut album. The Quietus aptly titled: > Industrial Dub Techno Assault. < The live act of the two legends can now be experienced at Ritournelle. But the young Nigerian rapper Aunty Rayzor also has nothing to hide with her futuristic mix of Afrobeat, R&B, hip-hop, pop, grime and experimental sounds. Her live performances are notorious.
Also in the line-up is Hamburg's Black Magic Dance Queen Helena Hauff, who will be playing an electrifying mix of techno, acid and electro - vinyl only, mind you. Jonas Friedlich opens the evening with a set full of irresistible break-heavy, mashed-up funk, which he stages with a healthy dose of humor.
Last, but definitely not least: the eclectic mix of artists and styles is brought together by none other than the Berlin duo Modeselektor. Whether techno connoisseurs, indie kids, ghetto ravers or Thom Yorke: (almost) everyone can agree on their boundless mixes. They successfully draw on far-reaching musical influences with great gestures and recognized and cultivated the wide field of electronic music early on. It has been a long time since they were guests at Ritournelle in the Kammerspiele. All the greater the pleasure to finally have them back in Munich.
Friday, October 18, is all about new, cross-border musical experiences on and around the dancefloor and its legacy. See you there!
