Robohands is the experimental solo/collaborative project of London-based composer/instrumentalist Andy Baxter. Originally a side project to explore percussion techniques, 'Robohands' evolved into a more composition-based endeavor, with his records often featuring extensive arrangements as well as solo instruments. After four studio albums to date, 'Palms' (2023, Bastard Jazz Recordings) is the fifth in a series of seven Robohands LPs. As support for Grammy Award-winner Terrence Blanchard at the Camden Jazz Cafe, Robohands has already played several gigs with his project in London, Brighton and Lisbon. Sonically, the project draws on the sounds of the late 1950s through to those of the late 1980s and early 1990s, with each album taking a different direction. The latest album emulates saturated analog tape recordings from the late 60s and 70s, with a subtle modern layer of glitch effects and pitch control experimentation in places. Fresh off the release of the EP "Giallo" (2022), Baxter again handles drums, guitar, bass, keyboards and also mixing duties for the latest LP, which includes seventeen tracks and was released in October 2023 on Bastard Jazz Recordings in Brooklyn.

Dandelion Honey:
The Swiss trio "Löwenzahnhonig" around Fai Baba, Long Tall Jefferson and Paul Märki (Black Sea Dahu) present their debut album as a tour kick-off at the Kosmos: The indie compositions wrap themselves around the listener's consciousness like a soft blanket and send everyday life and worries into nirvana. Musically, the lo-fi numbers are somewhere between soft Khruangbin, Mac DeMarco and jazz greats such as John Scofield and Charlie Byrd.
