Romeo und Julia

In the organizer's words:

A thirteen-year-old girl and a fourteen-year-old boy fall in love at first sight. Their parents don't think their relationship is a good idea and try to keep them apart. And so the two swear endless love for each other and take their own lives after knowing each other for just five days.
This is the plot of Romeo and Juliet, the archetype of the love story. Our archetype of romance. The love that overcomes all obstacles.
But what ideas of love and the resulting relationships and forms of commitment do we have today? Are we really prepared to die for love? How do different generations of people view love and what do they think of the promise of monogamy and infinity? Are there perhaps other models for relationships and forms of love that would be much more viable if we were to forget our social conventions?
"Would you die tonight for love?" is the question that Jan Friedrich and his team ask themselves using the example of Romeo and Juliet.
