What is a poetry slam?

In this modern poetry competition, five poets compete against each other in two rounds with their self-written texts, without any aids and with a time limit of 7 minutes, to win the favor of the audience. The volume of the applause alone decides who wins!

Whether thoughtful or funny, rhymed or prose, political or personal, the poetry slam covers everything with its colorful mix.
