In the organizer's words:

The "Red Dog" series stands for diverse and imaginative children's theater on the grounds of the Old Zoo at Himmelreichallee 50 (Westphalian School of Music). The series is named after the sculpture "Red Dog for Landois" by artist Keith Haring, which stood on the grounds from 1987 to 1997.

The performances take place "open air" on the meadow at the Eulenburg on three Sundays during the summer vacations. You are welcome to bring picnic blankets and folding chairs. In the event of rain, performances will take place in the rooms of the neighboring music school.

The twittering of birds. A gentle murmur. Reeds on the horizon. A pond. No frog. Or is there? Two actually! A frog and a toad set off to settle in this beautiful place. At first they are rather skeptical of each other. But over time, they quickly get to know each other and become friends in small, wonderful encounters. Will that go well? Bathing fun in the pond without getting wet. A special treat about friendship, longing, head and gut feelings with puppets and people in fins.

They have been hanging next to each other on the clothes rack for decades: Pepita Jimenez, the breathtaking, sparkling and somewhat arrogant dress of a famous opera singer, and Otto, the frayed and outlandish suit of a clown. Nothing happens, the days pass uneventfully in the cellar of the opera house - until one day the two costumes come to life... Full of humor and imagination, "Einfach weggehängt" takes us into the treasure trove of abandoned and forgotten costumes and tells of dreams, trust, friendship and courage.

Two disparate characters try to keep order over an enormous pile of bags by any means necessary. In choreographies full of situation comedy, the sacks become a stage set that is constantly changing: They are piled up, balanced and knocked over, fly through the air and form the basis for acrobatic new developments. But when the sacks become objects of desire and when friendship turns into competition, the two characters learn that they also have to shoulder what they take on. A story full of artistry that makes you laugh and think.
