On December 8, 2024, the Cologne Opera will host the traditional Red Cross benefit matinee for the 45th time in aid of the Cologne Red Cross.
Whether it's a flight, inflation or poverty in old age - the reasons why people turn to the Red Cross for help are becoming increasingly frequent and diverse in Cologne too. In order to help people in need quickly and unbureaucratically in such cases, we provide so-called individual assistance depending on the need, which we finance from the proceeds of the benefit matinee.
The success of our event is based on the top-class stage program of the opera ensemble, which always ensures a sold-out house. But the large Red Cross raffle, for which numerous companies and business partners kindly provide a total of more than 500 raffle prizes, also remains an important pillar of income for the good cause.
