Maturing processes such as "Solera" have a long tradition here and producers such as "Botucal" and "Zacapa" have long been familiar to most rum lovers and their distillates are a permanent fixture in one or two home bars. Subsequent sugaring is considered a sign of quality here. And let's be honest: we all started out with these representatives - didn't we?
