SALÒ lives in Vienna, is originally from southern Styria and, according to his own statements, makes music for dog lovers, people who refuse to work and anyone else who has feelings. What comes out of it? Songs about lust, suffering and love in times of late turbo-capitalism. The whole thing sounds like a wild mixture of German post-wave, pop and punk. If you're looking for influences, you might find them in Rio Reiser, the Idles or the very young Nina Hagen. Following the release of the EP "Rabatt" in 2019 and the debut album "Subjektiv Betrachtet" in 2023, SALÒ will be releasing new music in 2024. Instead of poppier, the sound will be cheekier and harder - an electric guitar may be smashed here... So watch out and be there at this live event.
