Christian Ehring is known as the presenter of "extra3" and as Oliver Welke's sidekick in the "heute-show". Anyone who experiences him live can also get to know an extremely versatile and sensitive stage artist.
His current solo is called "Stand jetzt". And it is updated on a daily basis, Stand jetzt. A ubiquitous phrase in the coronavirus crisis. As of now, nothing is known for sure. As of now, it is not clear which wars will escalate further. As things stand, it is uncertain whether humanity will survive the climate catastrophe.

The future can no longer be planned. Politics is just hectic damage limitation. And convictions are also becoming obsolete faster than Anton Hofreiter can list the types of weapons. The times when people were comfortably settled in the illusion that everything would somehow continue as before are over. At least that's how it looks now.

Is it still possible to laugh in the face of war and catastrophe, Donald Trump and upcoming elections? Christian Ehring says: You have to. He faces up to his fears, speaks plainly and unmasks the larmoyance of the privileged. Even if he doesn't always come off well himself, it doesn't matter. Wit has the right of way. That applies today more than ever.

"Stand jetzt" is highly topical satire following the collapse of the traffic lights. Of course, no one can say exactly what will happen between now and then, but this much is certain: Ehring will deal with it. As things stand, it's going to be funny.

The Capitol in Bremerhaven is a popular venue for political cabaret. Well-known names from the satire and cabaret scene are regularly on the program here. However, the Capitol doesn't just see itself as a stage, but wants to offer more than just a show.

The diversity of people and lifestyles that come together here is also reflected in the program of events. Every year from January to May and from September to December, a wide variety of artists, satirists and comedians take to the stage to share their world view with the audience in a humorous or serious, but always intelligent and entertaining way. The "SATIRICA", a festival that has long enjoyed great popularity among satire fans, also takes place in November.
