Every year during Advent, the Weser Promenade invites you to the Schlachte-Zauber, a market with a wintry atmosphere and maritime flair. Around 90 lovingly decorated wooden huts offer almost everything your heart desires these days, for example baked apples, churros, moose and wild boar sausages, flamed salmon, langos, falafel, mulled wine or (hot) cocktails. There is also jewelry, ceramics, toys, children's clothing, grain pillows, decoration ideas, specialties, knitwear, puzzles and much more that makes a great gift.
The historical part of the Schlachte-Zauber takes visitors back to the time of the Hanseatic League. The buccaneers' village with its maritime garb, master craftsmen and authentic stalls gives the market its unique character. Over two dozen crafts are demonstrated: Blacksmiths work red-hot iron, spice merchants entice visitors with exotic aromas, cloth merchants prepare winter garments and cookshops and mead makers provide food and drink. Meanwhile, musicians and jugglers provide entertainment.
If you like, you can make presents at the candle-lit fair. In the evening, countless torches and fires light up the market, where you can enjoy the atmospheric ambience with hot wine or mead.
Bremen's Schlachte-Zauber offers a unique blend of wintry hut magic and historical market and whisks visitors young and old away into a magical pre-Christmas season.
