For over 20 years, the future stars of the poetry slam and comedy scene have been taking their first steps here. Every month, nine up-and-coming poets and veterans of the scene take to the stage and compete against each other with their self-written texts.
Anything is possible at a poetry slam. The texts can be funny, sad, serious or silly. They can rhyme or be narrated. At the slam, heart-wrenching poems regularly meet funny stories from the last flat-sharing party. In the end, the winner is the person who was able to convince the audience the most, as the jury at the slam is always the audience. So you can help decide which text will win the laurels that evening and receive the grand prize: The Golden Pony.
