So Soon

Songs with captivating depth, impressive vocals in weightless harmony, coming of age in reverb. So Soon around multi-instrumentalists, songwriters and producers David Stöbener and Marco Braun create music that develops enormous size and power despite an impressionistic approach to sound design and storytelling. Indie pop and folk merge with electronica and post-rock to create a moving whole - both on the recordings and in rousing concerts with the full band.

So Soon have not only been friends since their youth, they have also been making music together for years and have invested in their art. And you can hear that in the compositions, the production and every concert: Multi-layered songwriting, precise vocals, impressive sound and tremendous playing quality combine to create a magical whole. Autobiographical snapshots, growing up in a world that offers a lot but also demands a lot, misty hope, floating melancholy: the themes of the songs.

"Bruises on your knees / Smile upon your face / Now I tie my shoes / The front-yard is a continent" goes "Tie My Shoes". A song that is representative of the quality of So Soon: The poetry, as simple as it is stunning, becomes intoxicating when Stöbener and Braun sing the lines and charge them with music that need not shy away from comparisons with the grandees of the genre, that overwhelms and blows your head clear. The childhood picture becomes a cinematic picture. Better tie your shoes: Not least a good instruction before listening to the music. Otherwise it could pull you out of them.

So Soon's debut album "Whether You Like It Or Not" will be released in November 2024 and will be presented on an extensive tour.
