It's that time of the year again!

We are looking forward to our summer party. This year we are celebrating a festival for democracy and diversity together with you and the Hand in Hand Leipzig alliance. From 2 p.m., you can come and see exhibitions and performances, take part in workshops and join us on tours free of charge.

On this day, the Hand in Hand alliance is calling for a major demonstration in Leipzig from 3 pm under the motto "Stop right-wing extremism - defend democracy". The meeting points are Augustusplatz, Simson-Platz and Johannapark in Leipzig. You can also dance together at a family-friendly rave in Johannapark (directly opposite the GfZK).

At our new building, you can see the EMOJIS poster exhibition with artistic works by young Rom*nja from Torgau, a project by Schweizerhaus Püchau e. V. in cooperation with the Association of Roma and Sinti in Saxony, Romano Sumnal e. V.

We present posters from the #machdeinkreuz campaign by the kompliz* initiative on screens in the new and old buildings. They refer to the state elections on September 1, 2024 and were designed by artists who live and work in Saxony.

We are transforming our forecourt into a flea market. Our museum café 292 Karangahape Road, the Backstein bakery, a cake sale, a solidarity bar and a KüfA (kitchen for all) from SPACE Leipzig will provide food and drink.
