The legend is back! In the midst of crises, world war scenarios and madness, they tell of a better world. At the end of the 1980s, Vibravoid were the first German underground band to lay the foundations for the revival of vinyl, psychedelic and kraut rock and wrote music history - be it the world's first Op Art vinyl record, celebrated appearances at the biggest festivals, endless tours, the last recordings with cult legend Sky Saxon (The Seeds) or a discography that could fill a record store. Why follow trends when you can set them?
On their two albums "Cosmic" and "Andromeda", released on Tonzonen Records, THE SUN OR THE MOON succeed in creating an original and versatile reinterpretation of the 1970s psych and prog genre, enriched with herbaceous, repetitive elements and occasionally dreamy moments of Floydian beauty. The musicians use a variety of sources of inspiration, which they incorporate into their hallucinogenic sound pearls and merge into a homogeneous whole in a highly relaxed manner.

The Sun or the Moon

The Sun Or The Moon was founded in summer 2019 in the Mainz area. On their two albums "Cosmic" and "Andromeda", released on Tonzonen Records, the band succeeds in creating an original
and versatile reinterpretation of the 1970s psych and prog genre, enriched with herbaceous, repetitive elements and occasionally dreamy moments of Floydian beauty. The
five musicians Frank Incense (vocals, bass, electronics), Susanne Schneider (keyboards), Markus Weber (guitar) and Marcus Pukropski (drums), Thom Gue (vocals) emphasize with their
songs underline the fact that Krautrock has long since ceased to be a disrespectful generic term, but rather a sign of quality.
The musicians use a variety of sources of inspiration, which they incorporate into their hallucinogenic sound pearls: Psychedelic bands of the 60s and 70s, art and prog rock (Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree), krautrock (CAN, Amon Düül), electro pioneers (Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream), trip-hop (Massive Attack, Portishead) as well as world music, jazz, new wave, post-punk and musique concrete. The special thing about The Sun Or The Moon is that the band succeeds in merging their diverse influences into a homogeneous whole in a highly relaxed manner.
They are currently working on their new album, which will also be released on Tonzonen Records.
The release is planned for 2025.
