The event series "Spuren im Gesicht - Migrantische Perspektiven auf die Nachkriegszeit" (Traces on the face - migrant perspectives on the post-war period) highlights migrant perspectives and cultures of remembrance that show the impact of migrants on the development of Germany and in our urban society today. The photo exhibition "Traces in the Face" provides the framework for the series of events and shows women who immigrated to Munich from Turkey with their life stories. Their faces reflect their experiences in their new home: loneliness, fears, exclusion, speechlessness, but also joie de vivre and solidarity in the community. With this series of events, we are focusing on migrant perspectives and cultures of remembrance that are often forgotten in the narrative of German history.
In cooperation with: Initiativgruppe e.V., Cultural Department of the LHM, Trägerkreis EineWeltHaus München e.V.
The event is part of "Stunde Null? How we became what we are" organized by the City of Munich.
