Sealed surfaces are increasing rapidly in cities - concrete, asphalt and paving stones are replacing natural soils. This has far-reaching consequences: Rain can no longer seep in and the risk of localized flooding increases, biodiversity decreases and urban heat islands worsen.

But how sealed is Leipzig actually? CORRECTIV invites you to an interactive exhibition: With the help of an evaluation of satellite data, we show which city districts are particularly paved over.

On our specially printed, 120 square meter carpet, you can explore the urban areas with different eyes. Interactive stations illustrate the consequences for the environment and urban climate - and invite you to discuss how our cities can be made more climate-friendly.
