From Ehrenstraße to the beautiful Gloria Theater - Cologne pianist Thelonious Herrmann, known as Stadtgeklimper, gives his first official concert:
"If you love your piano, you push it!" - with this motto, the then 16-year-old Thelonious took his acoustic piano through Cologne's Südstadt district for the first time. Stadtgeklimper was born. Today, it is impossible to imagine Cologne's streets and squares without the pianist. With spontaneous sing-along concerts and musical train rides, the music student has played his way into the hearts of the people of Cologne.
His musical adventures have already taken him through more than 36 countries with his mobile piano. On this journey, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Cat Ballou and the rapper Chefket.
On this special evening, you can expect not only musical companions of Thelonious, but also Cologne melodies and his first own compositions. "This will be a very special day," enthuses Thelonious, "after all, you only experience your first concert once in a lifetime."
