Stadtspaziergang: Jugendstil und Historismus in Hörde

A guided city walk to Art Nouveau and Historicism on facades in Dortmund Hörde. Until its incorporation in 1928, Hörde was an independent town. In terms of industrial development, it even had a head start over neighboring Dortmund with the founding of the Hermannshütte. Prestigious buildings still bear witness to the resulting self-confidence, as evidenced by the legacy of Art Nouveau and Historicism. Hörder Rathausstraße is a prime example of generously proportioned houses. Perhaps more modest, but no less interesting are streets south of the railroad line, for example in the area around the Hörder Neumarkt.

The meeting point is the Schlanke Mathilde.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at the information desk in the Museum of Art and Cultural History.
