STATEMENT

With impulses from the artist Kharis Ikoko aka Kokonelle, we as the library team want to get into conversation with our visitors. A statement from her will inspire us to exchange ideas and engage in discourse. It could be music. Or text. Or anything else. The rule is: everything can, nothing must. All are welcome. We are curious.

Kokonelle is a singer, activist and educational consultant with Congolese roots. She is committed to making people who do not come from Europe visible and creating space for them. She is a trained paralegal, organized demonstrations across Germany after the murder of George Floyd in 2020, works as an educational consultant, anti-racism trainer and curator and studies communication design on the side.
