"I called my mother last week to tell her that she will be in the new production 'Dust' that we are currently rehearsing in Leipzig.
It's scary when you include family stories in productions. Especially when it's not just the stories of your own family, not just those of Ari's family, but also those of Michael's and Charlotte's families. Our grandparents could theoretically have met somewhere in Europe back then, but fortunately or unfortunately that didn't happen."

How did I become who I am, who are the others and how can this be connected? Four artists from different disciplines come together to tell their stories. Based on personal memories, family stories and dreams, they shed light on moments that are common to us all, but also moments that isolate us. Puppet and object theater, movement and storytelling are accompanied and interrupted by music and brought together by song. An evening of theater that suspends time and space, connects the big bang and black holes of personal and collective history(ies) and encounters the now.
Dust is the first collaboration between the duo Golden Delicious (Israel / France) and Wilde & Vogel (Leipzig). Golden Delicious is made up of the object player Inbal Yomtovian and the director and performer Ari Teperberg. Both studied at the School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem and have become known for their joint production Jonathan and the Blue Table. Figurentheater Wilde & Vogel consists of the musician Charlotte Wilde and the puppet maker and performer Michael Vogel, who have been shaping the international puppet theater landscape for 25 years now. This meeting has resulted in a collection of motifs, shared songs, personal stories, figures and objects. Under the direction of Hendrik Mannes and Antonia Christl, these materials were condensed into a production that captures the moment of the encounter and transforms it into an intimate and fragile interplay. It examines the "act of storytelling" and networks the diversity of its varieties between solo soloism and polyphonic ambiguity.
