Steampunk: a unique event at the historical fairground

Steampunk - that means futuristic technology combined with the materials and means of the Victorian era. First emerging as a literary movement in the 1980s, steampunk developed over time into an art genre, a cultural movement, a style and a subculture. An atmospheric Victorian fair in the style of the turn of the 19th century awaits you, with free rides on the historic fairground rides. Antique fairground stalls, carnival floats, street performers and steampunk equipment round off the unique atmosphere.

Within a very short time, the Steampunk Fair in the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum has established itself as a scene meeting for fans and friends of the genre. It is now taking place for the 9th time in the setting of the Historical Fair on February 15 and 16, 2025. If you're still missing the right accessories for your stylish costume, you'll find them at numerous exhibitors. The Abacus Theater will be back again this year, taking guests on a Jules Verne-style journey with a spectacular mix of walking acts and street theater.

Ticket prices:
Normal price (from 12 years): € 25.00
Reduced (children from 3 up to and including 11 years): € 19.50
Family ticket (two full-paying adults and three children aged 3-11): €72.00

Children under the age of 3 and severely disabled persons (degree of disability from 50%) receive Free admission on presentation of appropriate proof. Accompanying persons pay the normal price.
