Stuttgart am Meer 2024

After a two-year break, the summer festival "Stuttgart am Meer" is finally back in front of the StadtPalais. Urban seascape and dunes create a vacation feeling in the cauldron.

This summer, the sea will once again take over the forecourt of the StadtPalais - Museum für Stuttgart and provide a nice cool-down in the city center. The longing for water not only symbolizes the desire to cool down in the ever-heating cauldron, but also the desire for a better quality of life. In the water, we let ourselves go, enjoy life, refresh ourselves, play, swim and have fun.

The Stuttgart am Meer summer festival now achieves the seemingly impossible and brings the sea, at least symbolically, into the heart of Stuttgart's city center. The temporary urban installation of an urban sea and dune landscape by Stuttgart studio Umschichten in front of the StadtPalais - Museum für Stuttgart turns the view of B 14 and the Planie into a horizon and the museum forecourt into a vacation landscape.

One of the many highlights is the summer market, where young creative people from Stuttgart present their ideas, products and offers.

In the museum garden, students from the Hochschule der Medien will be presenting an exhibition on the places worth living in on the banks of the Neckar in Stuttgart, including a few insider tips. The Neckar and its future design will also play a key role in the vacation workshops for children. It's time to get wet!
