We invite you to a mixed music show with a wide variety of guests, the Südbahnhofkonzerte at Bahnwärter Thiel.
Molly Mogul [Munich/Barcelona/London]
Molly Mogul, artist and singer from Bavaria, now commutes between Barcelona, London and Munich and has made a name for herself not only in Germany. Her sound is as flexible as her location, moving between alternative pop, ambient rap and experimental. She has carved out a charming niche for herself through this mixture, but also through the language changes. German and English alternate, sometimes within the same song. The artist thus skillfully creates an interplay of international appeal and a connection to her origins. She sings about queer identity, about self-doubt and sometimes about the simple need not to spend the evening on the couch. Mogul's songs live from her fragile yet captivating voice - you immediately want to sing, suffer and dance along with her.
Treibauf [Munich]
The Munich band has made it their mission to play songs and pieces from all over the world as real dance music. The five musicians mix old dances and songs with new styles and rhythms with complete abandon. The band's program includes Bavarian country dances and polkas, Eastern European klezmer and Balkan dances, Irish jigs and reels. They are joined by Italian partisan songs, Irish drinking songs, Russian traditional folk songs and Bavarian revolutionary gstanzl, and this wild mixture is spiced up with driving ska and polka rhythms.
Host: Robert Wildfeuer [Munich]
Our wonderful host Robert Wildfeuer will lead the evening: as "The Wildfire", the likeable singer-songwriter with his trademark Santa Fe hat has been delighting audiences in Munich and beyond for years! His songs are sometimes melancholy or he sings about love, reflects on life and social issues, but often his lyrics are also characterized by a good dose of humour. His music has its roots in the USA and contains elements of folk, country and rock.
