"Ahoy! Side B" record release tour 2024

The performances of Icelandic troubadour Svavar Knùtur are an emotional rollercoaster ride between "moved to tears" and "crying with laughter" that won't let you go any time soon.

In "Icelandic and English" (Rolling Stone), he tells of the pain of long Icelandic winters, 24-hour sleeplessness and the beauty of the Icelandic summer sun with a "swooning voice" and "wonderful simplicity and unfiltered emotion in his songs" (Rave Magazine).

And yet, with his humor, his lightness and his joy of life, he manages to enchant and captivate the audience from the very first moment.

Svavar likes to describe himself as a public health troubadour: "I think I might be the broccoli of singer-songwriters, not the sexiest of the vegetables, but still veeeery good for you!"

The Icelander is an unadulterated entertainer and extraordinary musician who opens up a new world with his songs and stories about the inspiring, hard life of the people on the rugged Icelandic Westfjord and changes the way you look at your own life. In doing so, he naturally combines great seriousness with a skillful smile.

His new album "Ahoy! Side B", a bubbling mixture of Icelandic and English songs, was released in spring 2024.
