In the organizer's words:

A highlight in our 150th anniversary year: the Self-Defense Day on the Römerberg.

On Saturday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., you can find out more about self-help, civil protection and prevention.

There will be many different stands, for example on natural disasters, emergency preparedness and fire safety education. Mike Josef, Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt, will open the event.

We also want to form a historic bucket brigade with you from Römerberg to the new Old Town! Why? A symbol of the history of fire protection and a reminder of a time when there were no fire engines.

In addition to all this, we have thought of various hands-on activities for young and old - the mini and youth fire departments have also prepared a few attractions. Food and drinks will of course also be provided.
