This Saturday, Amiko Li and New York-based artist and curator Ara Qiu will delve into the themes of vulnerability and resilience in Li's exhibition, exploring the concept of the 'soft target' in art. They will explore how genuine caring, personal stories and everyday language can make artists vulnerable. Li's work addresses the complexities of being both praised and criticized for not being theoretical or substantive enough, and highlights institutional issues such as the exploitation of artists' identities. His exhibition 'Soft Target', alongside 'Tender Giants' and a series of videos, reflects on how artists deal with their vulnerability and the impact of societal and institutional dynamics on their practice.
