Attention change: Instead of Sayumi Yoshida, Yeva Lapsker will lead the dance evening.

On 27.09.2024 it's "Klezmer with friends" again in the beautiful Gohliser Schlösschen, for the first time under the direction of Yeva Lapsker. On this special dance evening, traditional klezmer dances will be explained and performed together. Guaranteed: Great dancing, good live music and a good mood.

Born in Leningrad and now moored on the water in Hamburg, freelance artist Yeva Lapsker became a traveler between languages and countries, worlds and times after studying at the University of Heidelberg and the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York.

Her work in various theaters, with Tango Argentino and the Yiddish language and culture paved the way for her fascination and later work with Yiddish dance and led her to numerous international festivals, including Yiddish Summer Weimar, KlezKanada, Yiddish New York and Ashkenaz Toronto.

Yeva is a co-founder of Shtetl Berlin e.V. and continues to devote herself to dance, numerous video and multimedia projects for live concerts, theatrical clowning and translation work, and was part of the Grammy-winning Netflix series "Unorthodox" as a choreographer. Two of her most recent dance projects - both solo and with other artists - took to the stage in Hamburg as "Performing Denkmal" and "Di Goldene Argentine" .

Admission:
Normal price: 15,00 Euro
Reduced price: 10.00 euros (for school pupils, trainees, students, Leipzig Pass holders, holders of a severely disabled pass, holders of the Leipzig Voluntary Service)
Solidarity price: Voluntary admission, which is higher than the normal price.
Please note: No card payment possible.

Admission: from 7.30 pm (free choice of seats)
Please collect reserved tickets from the Box Office at least 15 minutes before the start of the event.

Venue: The event takes place in the Gohliser Schlösschen (entrance via Menckestraße).
