Tanzperformance: Red Rivers

As part of the LWL theme year "POWR! Postcolonial Westphalia-Lippe", the Ugandan-French choreographer Willie Stark has created a choreography that approaches the themes of the colonial past, identity and resistance through dance. Stark has combined indigenous sources with contemporary, European and urban dance techniques to create an intergenerational dance journey - from past dehumanization to the restoration of identity and processes of empowerment.
