CocoonDance

RUNthrough

"RUNthrough" is a choreographic remix, a mixture of different movement concepts and body languages. During four residencies, the ensemble led by choreographer Rafaële Giovanola drew inspiration from Serbian folklore, rap, voguing and inclusive theater. As is so often the case, new perspectives on movement and the body emerged, leading to a fascinating combination of different movement languages.

The collective project CocoonDance, founded in 2000 around choreographer and 2022 FAUST Award winner Rafaële Giovanola, has since toured five continents with around 50 productions and has been honored several times with invitations to the most important events on the scene at national and international level.

Continuous teamwork, collective decision-making processes and in-depth body research are essential to the work.
