Temple Festival 2025 - Enter Heavy Music Citadel

Since time immemorial, monumental temples have towered into the sky around the globe. They are both a cultural and spiritual expression and a place of gathering. The Tempel Festival 2025 at Feierwerk Munich pays homage to this basic idea, but is no ordinary festival. Rather, it unites the city's diverse musical currents and is the backdrop for the turbulent descents of psychedelic rock, forms the solid foundation for deep-seated stoner rock and provides shade for dark doom sounds. An evening that brings together seven bands from the south of Germany. An evening that celebrates the hard sounds of the city. The Tempel Festival 2025 welcomes the local scene to an insane journey between spirituality, hard riffs and driving rhythms - welcome to the temple!

SWAN VALLEY HEIGHTS

Munich-based heavy psych trio SWAN VALLEY HEIGHTS are signed to Swedish label Fuzzorama Records and released their acclaimed third album"Terminal Forest" last year. Atmospherically light and mercilessly heavy at the same time, SWAN VALLEY HEIGHTS combine twisted soundscapes with merciless stoner rollers. After several European tours with scene legends such as "Colour Haze" and the "Truckfighters" in recent years, the band has also made a name for itself internationally. (Source: Bandinfo)

ROBO

The instrumental duo ROBO from Munich (drums: Sergio Arceri, guitar: Gregor Zirngibl) fuses personal musical influences from stoner rock, doom, garage, punk & 70s disco into a sound that the duo describes as robot rock. Rhythm, riffs & groove are the focus here. (Source: Bandinfo)

RAGING SLOTH

he sound cosmos of the doom & sludge band RAGING SLOTH, founded in Munich in 2018, captivates with its contrast of frenzy and inertia. The three musicians Max Horch (vocals, bass), Dennis Hecher (guitar) and Jonas Rückinger (drums) see themselves in the tradition of the genre's "grand old men". The ominous mixture of heavy, oppressive walls of sound and furious, hard groove riffs is reminiscent of grand masters such as "Y.O.B." or "Ufomammut".

Shortly after their appearance at the Keep It Low Festival 2022, RAGING SLOTH recorded their first EP together with producer Jan Oberg ("Earthship", "Grin", "Slowshine") and mastering engineer Magnus Lindberg ("Cult of Luna"). The release concert for "The Descent" together with stoner legends "Oreyeon" was well received and allowed the trio to share the stage with heavyweights like "AHAB" and "Valborg". MONOMANIC

Ahab and the white whale, Nathanael and madness - one idea, one goal in mind. With relentless drums, growling bass, enraptured vocals, dust-dry guitars and floating synthesizers with doomy organ sounds, MONOMANIC from Munich create a melange with their heavy rock that pays tribute to bands like "King Crimson", "Black Sabbath" and "Kadavar" and looks resolutely to the future. SUNDOG

With the intensity of a ritual dance, SUNDOG pays homage to an instinctive and ominous manifestation of rock and blues. Rough, loud and sometimes ecstatic. The band came together in 2015, played a lot, released two EPs and performed their dance for 5 years. Then came nothing, and nobody danced anymore. In April 2024, they released their first album "The Happy Few " - a longing for movement, chaos and pain turned into music. For life. This year, the dance continues. (Source: Organizer)

MISS MELLOW

When the quartet came together in a small rehearsal room in Munich's Werksviertel district in 2019, it wasn't entirely clear what kind of music would emerge from their collaboration. Three years and countless sweaty sessions later, there is some clarity: a varied and complex psychedelic rock has been burned into the wallpaper. MISS MELLOW mix tightly composed arrangements with spacey jam parts. From groovy surf parts, herbaceous psych or groovy stoner and hard rock planks, from clean funk to dirty fuzz, from a love of the sound of the 70s to excursions into more modern styles of playing, everything is there and yet everything is in harmony. The interplay between guitars and synthesizers and the polyphonic vocals in English, German or Japanese lend the musicians' sound an idiosyncratic charm. Since the end of 2021, Stocki, Josh, Jun and Nico have been letting off steam in the recording studio to record their creations in a professional setting. On November 10, 2023 the time had come.
