In her artistic work, Dorothee Liebscher focuses primarily on the theme of space and the associated dimension of time.
The works of the artist, who studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig under Prof. Annette Schröter, oscillate between realism and fiction; they show a hidden world that offers secrets and raises questions. The architectural decontextualization and the play of light in the colors dissolve the natural space and create a field of tension between nostalgia and utopia. The atmospheric paintings by the artist, who lives and works in Leipzig, invite you to immerse yourself and linger.
