Earth in the near future. Artificial intelligence has taken over and emotions are seen as a threat. The AI makes Gabrielle (Léa Seydoux) purify her DNA in a machine that allows her to dive into her past lives and free her from all strong feelings. But then she meets Louis (George MacKay), with whom she immediately feels a connection, as if she had always known him. At the same time, a dark premonition creeps over her that a catastrophe is imminent. The film is based on the story "The Beast in the Jungle" by Henry James.
