The BV's + The New Mourning Tour 2025

BV's

Their unique mix of indie-pop, shoegaze and krautrock was formed during Fred and Josh's time sharing a flat in the wet English winter of 2016 in the seaside town of Falmouth. By chance, Fred moved in with Josh during his semester abroad. The largely improvised recordings of their first album 'Speaking from a Distance', which was released on Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten (KUS) in 2017 and sold out within a very short time, were made here within two weeks using minimal recording equipment.

This was followed by an EP and a second album on KUS, as well as singles and EPs on Cloudberry Records (USA), Shiny Happy Records (Indonesia), Melotron Recordings (Greece) and KUS. The now four-piece band, completed by Hannes and Matt, toured extensively in Europe and the UK, performing at Indietracks Festival and various international pop festivals including Madrid, Cologne and Glasgow. The third album 'Taking Pictures of Taking Pictures' was released on February 16, 2024 on Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten and Shelflife Records (USA) after Josh's relocation to Augsburg and was enthusiastically celebrated by the international IndiePoP scene.

The subsequent tour took the band all over Germany and even as far as Prague in the Czech Republic. In spring 2025, The BV's will tour southern Germany and Austria together with the Austrian band The New Mourning.

The New Mourning

The New Mourning is the latest project of musician and sound engineer Thomas Pronai, who writes songs. Pronai runs a (mostly) analog studio in the east of Austria, on the edge of the Pannonian steppe. In this idyllic setting, he has recorded his own band projects (Bo Candy & His Broken Hearts, Defoe & Pronai, Le Charmant Rouge,...) as well as a number of legendary acts from the Austrian music scene (Der Nino aus Wien, Ernst Molden, Ja, Panik, to name but a few).
