For the past decade, The Cold Stares have toured the world relentlessly as a duo, wowing audiences in the US and Europe with a furious, electrifying live show that belies their mere lineup of guitar and drums. Now the band strikes a whole new kind of chemistry as they embark on their next chapter, adding a third member and reviving the classic power trio sound they grew up with on their explosive new album "Voices".

Recorded almost entirely in just two days with producer/engineer/mixer Mark Needham (Taj Mahal, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Walk the Moon, Fleetwood Mac), the album is the band's most mature, eclectic collection to date, combining powerful muscle and tender emotion in equal measure. It would have been easy for Tapp and drummer Brian Mullins to simply turn up the volume, but instead they utilize the arrival of bassist Bryce Klueh to take a more nuanced and adventurous approach, creating a raw, unadorned sound that feels simultaneously vintage and modern. It all adds up to a bold, cinematic record that's as honest as it is exhilarating, a high-octane dose of unadulterated rock 'n' roll that invokes everything from Cream to Led Zeppelin while reckoning with love and loss, sin and redemption, hope and regret.
