Joe and his dog named "Freedom" make their daily rounds around the blocks of flats in the Catholic part of Belfast that formed the front line during the Civil War. Joe, who calls himself an "ordinary, decent criminal", and his neighbors are still haunted by traumatic events that happened a long time ago. Even coming to terms with them through therapy and re-enactments does not seem to bring peace of mind. A harrowing and poetic film about a largely forgotten conflict. Winner of the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival.
