An exciting and completely unpredictable detective story from Kinshasa, in which a French film director has to find his own double. A film about virtual identities in a post-colonial century.

French filmmaker Armel Hostiou discovers that he has a double in Kinshasa. Someone has created a fake Facebook profile with his name in order to poach aspiring actors. So Armel sets off for the vast capital of Congo to track him down, and so begins one of the wildest and most unpredictable films of the year. An elementally exciting and wildly entertaining detective story about a white filmmaker on foreign soil. But also a story that, with hilarious self-irony and twist after twist, develops into a darker tale about the internet, identities and post-colonial struggles in the 21st century. Armel is supported by a group of young local artists who tackle the mystery of the doppelganger with a casual coolness far removed from that of their European guest. But every time you think the mystery is solved, the movie takes a new turn. cphdox
