Thelma Post (June Squibb, Oscar®-nominated, Nebraska) has both feet firmly on the ground - even if her daughter Gail (Parker Posey, Dazed and Confused) and son-in-law Alan (Clark Gregg, The Avengers) disagree. But one day she falls for a conman who pretends to be her grandson Daniel (Fred Hechinger, The White Lotus) on the phone and takes a lot of money from her. Thelma is furious. The case is clear, justice must be done. Thelma is going to hunt down the crook. Together with her old friend Ben (Richard Roundtree, Shaft), his scooter and a borrowed gun, she embarks on a wild adventure across Los Angeles.
