Refreshment, a place to linger, an adornment of the urban space: fountains have been part of the history of our civilization for centuries.

The themed course deals with the mostly listed fountains in Cologne on 10 dates.

After a presentation of the current situation of Cologne's ornamental fountains and a historical review, some ornamental fountains in the old town, in Deutz, in Mülheim, in the Südstadt and in the Rheinpark will be presented in detail.

Afterwards, there will be a guided tour of these ornamental fountains on each of the last 6 dates. The meeting point will be announced in the seminar.
