"Young, cool, right-wing extremist" was the headline of the ARD magazine Monitor on the voting behavior of young people in East Germany. What sounds exaggerated actually gives rise to the question: Why do young people vote on the right? Is TikTok alone to blame? Or is it growing up in times of multiple crises? Shouldn't young people in particular be interested in protecting democracy and therefore their future?
