Formed at the end of the 80s in leafy Surrey, THRESHOLD really blossomed in the following decade and quickly established themselves as the most important representatives of British progressive metal. Since their 1993 debut "Wounded Land" , the band's creative core of guitarist Karl Groom and masterful keyboard player Richard West have developed a unique new style of heavy, progressive music. THRESHOLD combine concise melodies with thought-provoking lyrics and intricate yet thunderous arrangements. THRESHOLD have marched inexorably forward musically over the last three decades, even reaching new heights in 2017 with the conceptual and musical madness of the album "Legend Of The Shires" . With Glynn Morgan as their new vocalist, the Brits' core line-up of Groom, West, drummer Johanne James and bassist Steve Anderson soared to new heights, were widely praised and more in demand than ever before. Despite the inevitable setback of the global pandemic, THRESHOLD 2022 are in the best of health. Continuing a new classic may present THRESHOLD with a challenge, but with their twelfth studio album, they prove that they have risen to the challenge with flying colors. Darker, heavier and even more adventurous than its predecessor, "Dividing Lines" shows a band with a lot on their minds, but who have also released perhaps the most inventive and melodically interesting material in the band's history.
