Brooklyn, New York. This is where traveling salesman Willy Loman lives his illusion of the American dream that you can make it to the top with hard work. In firm belief in this, Loman has toiled for years, brought his family through, paid off installments, even had an affair. But reality increasingly destroys the big dream of a little happiness. Loman's sons, in whom he had pinned all his hopes, rebel against their father. When Loman is finally dismissed, his house of cards, built on self-deception, continues to collapse.
