The star guitarist of Flamenco Nuevo with his new program

The tomato doesn't fall far from the tomato bush - at least in the case of Jose Fernández Torres, alias Tomatito. His grandfather and father, whom everyone in Andalusia called El Tomate, were already passionate flamenco guitarists. José Fernández was already performing in public at the age of 10 and was encouraged early on by legends such as Paco de Lucía and Camarón de la Isla. Today, Tomatito himself is considered one of the most gifted guitarists of our time and the epitome of flamenco nuevo - deeply rooted in tradition and modern at the same time. For all his dizzying technical brilliance, the five-time Grammy winner is above all concerned with pure truthfulness and the realization: "Any artist who claims to have found perfection has failed."
