As a young man, Icelandic student Kristófer fell in love with the beautiful Japanese girl Miko in London. One day, however, she suddenly disappeared from the British metropolis - and with her, from his life. Some fifty years later, Kristófer has long since returned to his native Iceland. When he is diagnosed with an incurable illness, the now widowed man reviews his life. What if things had been different back then? He wants nothing more than to find Miko again before it is too late. Just as the coronavirus pandemic breaks out, Kristófer makes a decision: he travels to London, the city where it all began, and from there on to Japan, where his search comes to a surprising conclusion ...

TOUCH is a moving love story full of melancholy that spans several decades and different continents. The role of Kristófer is shared by Egill Ólafsson (old Kristófer, TRAPPED - GEFANGEN IN ISLAND) and Palmi Kormákur (young Kristófer, THE DEEP), that of Miko by actresses Kōki (young Miko, TORNADO) and Yoko Narahashi (old Miko, DIE GEISHA).

TOUCH is an adaptation of the Icelandic bestseller "Snerting" by Ólafur Jóhann Ólafsson. The work was awarded the 2021 Booksellers Literary Award as the best Icelandic novel of the year. Ólafsson also co-wrote the screenplay with award-winning filmmaker Kormákur. Kormákur, Agnes Johansen and Mike Goodridge were responsible for production.
